Diabetes: Treatment and Cures
June 25th, 2009 by admin

It can be a frightening experience if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with diabetes. But there is no need to panic. Diabetes is a serious condition, but it doesn't mean someone diagnosed with diabetes can't live a long, healthy and normal life.  If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with diabetes I know what you must be feeling right now.

Three months ago I myself was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and put on the medication known as Metformin. When I was diagnosed I felt fear, anger, denial, frustration, uncertainty and even became rather depressed; however, I was assured that these feelings are common.  I've dedicated this blog to help others learn how to deal with living with diabetes, how to care for a loved one with diabetes, and how to find others with diabetes with whom you can share experiences.  It can be a frightening experience if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with diabetes.  But there is no need to panic.

Diabetes is a serious condition, but it doesn't mean someone diagnosed with diabetes can't live a long, healthy and normal life.  You may feel overwhelmed by a diabetes diagnosis.  But living a long and happy life with diabetes is entirely possible. The aim of this blog is to offer tips and advice on how to get through the day-to-day challenges of living with diabetes. Topics will range from diabetes health issues, what to eat, how to diet and exercise and how to cope with the emotions associated with a diabetes diagnosis. Please, keep reading, and add your own comments to the topics!
